We warmly invite dancers, actors and musicians of the contemporary field to apply for our
upcoming audition.
The aim of the project THE COMMUNITY is to continue the artistic legacy of choreographer
Juliette Villemin. After her sudden death in January 2023, her artistic team decided to continue
the concept for an interdisciplinary dance production about communities she had begun. With
the nomination of Carla Jordão for artistic direction and choreography in this production,
further artistic positions are now being offered in order to successfully implement the
production in 2024.
The production THE COMMUNITY under the direction of Carla Jordão explores the formation of
communities and social dynamics. It examines how individual gestures and emotions lead to
collective identities. Interactive elements make relationships and group relationships tangible.
The performance invites the audience to turn from observer to participant and to experience
the transformation from individual to community.
To complete our artistic team we are seeking for experienced and mature artists in their
field, who are open and experienced in collaborating in interdisciplinary processes and
interactive settings with the audience. The applicants must be available for the entire period of
time mentioned below, from Aug on (availability in July is an advantage, but not a
requirement). Applicants must have their tax residence in Germany.
We offer fees oriented at the recommended minimum wages (by Bundesverband Freie
Darstellende Künste) in Germany as well as the reimbursements of travel and accommodation
costs.
