Sara Blasco Gutiérrez works as a dancer and choreographer. She studied audiovisual communication (film, audio and media production) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and dance at the Conservatory of Music and Dance (Valencia). Her choreographies are characterized by the combination of multidisciplinary techniques in contemporary dance, as well as the treatment of social and socio-political issues. Since 2013 she has been active as a choreographer and artistic director in her own pieces and in artistic collaborations in Germany and Spain and also creates her own musical arrangements. Her production “Clara” was funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the tanz.tausch Festival 2018. In 2019 this piece was selected for the Migrats Festival in Spain. She is currently also working as a choreographer and dancer for Wehr 51 in Cologne. The piece “Smartphone # 4” you’d better shut up before I shoot you down “, which was created in cooperation with Wehr51, will also be shown at the Migrats Festival in November 2020. Her last work “TPC – The Perfect Clone” (WP 2021) combines dance and holograms.
